At a demonstration today, the company said it has strengthened research over the years to make the process faster on its end, the deployment of improved tools for research and refinement by adding real-time results, such as streaming titles and tweets related to the query.
But this approach allows users to optimize the time it takes for them not the only type of query, but also scan the results.
The tool was actually a "psychic element," predict what a user types a few letters fir the request. It does not search as you type, but rather the type of research before you, "said company.
Initially, I had my reservations about it, wondering if it would create more noise in the search results. Then I did the same research that many people do - I Google'd. I found that the noise has been effectively reduced.
Aas I typed the "S" on my behalf, Skype came first. (It's nice for Skype.) Then came Safeway, followed by Samsung and, finally, with the first letter of my surname, auto-complete list me as the third line.
Not bad.
In fact, the company has made some calculations on a time-saving coming from the new search technology - an average of 2-5 seconds for each search. In total, Google estimates users will save 11 hours with each passing second.
So if I make 50 searches per day and 3.5 seconds to save the search (the midpoint of the average) than the 175 seconds per day, about 3 minutes. At the end of the week is a bit lower savings of 15 minutes. (Hey, Larry, I will take a long lunch on Friday from now on.)
The service will be available later today on Google.com on Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox and IE8 browsers. It will be available immediately in the U.S., but will be deployed over the coming weeks at the international level for users who log into their Google Accounts.
And see how typing on a mobile phone can still be a challenge, the company is working on Google for search and mobile instant that he will be ready later this year.
